James began his legal career representing individuals and corporations in civil litigation matters.  James' legal career stemmed from a passion for conflict resolution, but found that the adversarial system was not effectively achieving his clients' goals.  He sought out alternative means to cut through the "red tape" and litigation obstacles to resolving claims.

James' reputation as a practical, rational and empathetic problem-solver allowed him to resolve difficult cases that appeared destined for lengthy and costly litigation.  His ability to communicate effectively with all parties in an impartial way lends itself to his success as an unbiased, neutral mediator and workplace investigator.

James graduated from Queens University Faculty of Law in 2008.  Previously, he achieved an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.  He is also a Certificate Holder of the Association of Workplace Investigators.

At home, James' dispute resolution skills are put to the test between his two young sons, where themes of fair play, honesty and communication are frequently utilized.
